Champ is the tritagonist of Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and Anchorman 2. He is also one of the tritagonists of Wake Up Ron Burgundy.

Champ is Ron's co worker and friend, he is the KVWN sports news reporter and it seems that he has hidden feelings for Ron and expresses some level of bi-curiosity. At the end of the movie it is said he became a commentator for the NFL before getting fired after being accused by Terry Bradshaw of sexual harassment.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues[]

Years later in the second film it is shown that Champ was fired from Channel 4 and after he was fired he fakes a work accident and with its settlement he purchases a Chicken place. But instead of chicken he uses bats as a substitute.
